Customer Interview: Digital Processes in Rental Business
GL Verleih sought a central system with TOPIX that could seamlessly represent the entire rental process, including disposition, and enable a continuous digital process.
The entire rental process for equipment, construction machinery, and aerial work platforms had to be digitally mapped seamlessly: from contact management through the order for disposition, considering availability, transport, and renting external resources to billing with customer- and time-specific prices, to evaluations, and legally compliant archiving.
We want to achieve end-to-end digitization with the new TOPIX program, with the declared goal of optimizing all our processes. Thanks to this additional artificial intelligence, this gives us a significant competitive advantage.

All information about the customer or business partner, equipment status, accessories, and transaction data is centrally stored in one system. It is available comprehensively and transparently to all stakeholders across departments, providing reliable planning and calculation as well as trustworthy and meaningful conversations with prospects, customers, and business partners.
From the initial customer contact through the order to acquisition, return, and invoicing: TOPIX automates processes efficiently. Order processing directly accesses master data from the equipment and accessory directory and, furthermore, automates sales processes. The result is a continuous workflow from sales through merchandise management to disposition.
TOPIX supports the rental of equipment and accessories, the provision of personnel, availability management, and the rental of external resources. Customer-specific prices and price scales can also be created, taking into account hourly, daily, and weekly rates. The graphically well-prepared disposition window ensures the perfect overview.
Early termination of the lease? Unplanned extension of the lease? Unforeseen repairs and maintenance? Replacement of the equipment during the rental period? TOPIX also handles unforeseen events with customers. Interim billing is possible even considering changes to the pricing basis. Additional materials and possibly other items, such as fees for permits, can be easily determined and calculated.
With TOPIX, maintain full control over your rentals, profitability, and equipment utilization. Evaluations can be created at any time, either comprehensively or project-specific. They are customizable and available in various views.
All documents and information are centrally stored in TOPIX's Document Management System (DMS). All authorized personnel have quick and clear access to the data. The complete indexing of documents allows for convenient full-text search. The management and archiving of documents are done reliably and securely.
